Prague (/ˈprɑːɡ/; Czech: Praha,), German: Prag) is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is the 15th largest city in the European Union. It is also the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava river, the city is home to about 1.26 million people, while its larger urban zone is estimated to have a population of nearly 2 million. The city has a temperate climate, with warm summers and chilly winters.
Letná Park (in Czech Letenské sady) is a large park on Letná hill, built on a plateau above steep embankments along the Vltava River in Prague, Czech Republic. Letná’s elevation and location afford commanding views of the Prague Old Town (Staré Město).
Located inside Letná Park, (Letenské Sady), which is a beautiful, popular city park running along the bank of the Vltava river overlooking Staré Město.
Letná Beer Garden is a large, shady area with lots of picnic tables and a small playground, located directly across from Letenský Zámeček, (Letna Chateu). The only beer on tap is Gambrinus 10°, and of course they have white and red wine, cola, and some spirits. Sadly the menu isn’t too diverse, but the amazing view more than makes up for it. If you’re hungry, there’s a grilled sausage stand, but otherwise the food menu is quite limited.
