0:00what’s up guys welcome back to my
0:01channel in today’s video I’m going to
0:04show you some of the best stretches for
0:07athletes i know that i have a ton of
0:09athletes who watch my tan also hopefully
0:12these lower body stretches will really
0:15get into those muscles that are
0:17typically tight for athletes so let’s
0:21get started let’s go
0:24our first stretch is going to be a
0:26simple lunge and this will be really
0:28good for stretching your hip flexors and
0:31also your hamstrings sometimes i like to
0:35put both hands and the center and kind
0:37of lean down the front a little bit and
0:39what that will do is it will also
0:41stretch out your inner thigh and what
0:44you guys want to make sure that you are
0:46equally stretching both sides of your
0:48body and holding each stretch for the
0:50same amount of time no matter if one
0:53side is more flexible than the other
0:56now while you’re in this line is you
1:01want to take your back foot and kind of
1:03pull it up for a little quad stretch
1:05this will not only stretch your quads
1:08really well but it will also get deeper
1:10into those hip flexors

1:15and this next stretch is probably my
1:17least favorite but it is really good for
1:19you and that is the half pigeon stretch
1:21so what you want to do is you’re going
1:23to bend your front leg you want to try
1:25to get your chin parallel to the top of
1:28the mat depending on how flexible you
1:32are you can either you know fit more
1:34straight up or you can vent all the way
1:36over and have your stomach flat from at
1:38like I am neck stretch of simple five
1:42lunch that will get into those inner
1:44thighs and also help stretch out your IT
1:46band now with this one depending on how
1:59flexible you are you can put your feet
2:01closer to your body of further out or
2:04you can bend over or kind of fit
2:07straight up just take this one easy
2:09depending on your flexibility level at
2:12the moment


2:13next what you might look like I’m just
2:14hanging out but this is actually really
2:16good foot starts what you’re going to do
2:17is just kind of curl your toes under and
2:19fit right on those heels and you’ll feel
2:22that stretch through your foot and then
2:23after you’re finished with that you want
2:25to uncurl those codes and kind of lean
2:28back like I’m doing here and this is a
2:30really good stretch for the top of your
2:32ankle the top of your foot and also all
2:34the way through your sheds next is a
2:41figure for this one is really great for
2:43stretching costs and ham strength so the
2:45first variation you’re going to hold on
2:48and flex your foot
2:49this will get your calves and your
2:50hamstrings next variation you want to
2:52point your toe and lean forward as far
2:54as you can and this will get even deeper
2:56into your hamstrings and into your hip
2:59and then next time you’re going to take
3:01that top like and pull it in towards you
3:03and not is also going to really help get
3:06into those hip flexors and get into
3:08those glue
