Where is the real “Dracula’s Castle”?

Transylvania, Romania

Bran Castle received its nickname as Dracula’s Castle because it is the only one in Transylvania that bears any resemblance to the castle in Bram Stoker’s novel. In fact, Stoker derived his idea of Dracula’s castle from an illustration of Bran in a book. There are also rumors that the land around Bran is haunted just to amp up the creep factor. On June 1, 2009, the Castle fully re-entered the possession of its legal heirs, Archduke Dominic, Archduchess Maria Magdalena and Archduchess Elisabeth.
