which is the first country in the world?
The best term : Turkey is a “developing” country. I heard an economist from Harvard discussing the status of Turkey, and he defined Turkey’s status as an emerging economy. It is certainly not a third world country, but not quite as developed as a first world country, hence it is in the bridge of an emerging economy.
The term “First World” refers to so called developed, capitalist, industrial countries, roughly, a bloc of countries aligned with the United States after World War II, with more or less common political and economic interests: North America, Western Europe, Japan and Australia.
