Before becoming Vice President, Joe Biden famously commuted from Delaware to Washington, D.C. on what form of transportation?
Back in 2009, three days before taking office, Biden, joined by Barack Obama, rode the Amtrak train to Washington D.C. Throughout his tenure as Vice President, he was known to use the rail occasionally to travel back to Delaware, and he rode it even more frequently while serving Delaware as a U.S. senator. This was the same mode of transportation Abraham Lincoln took on the way to his inauguration in 1861. Recently, immediately following the inauguration of President Donald Trump, Biden left D.C. the same way. Source: USA Today
