A 1948 photo showing the Ku Klux Klan’s “charity” demonstration for an elderly black couple in Alabama continues to circulate on the Internet, although the details behind the actual encounter are scarce.
In the photo, 106-year-old Jack Riddle and his wife Rosie, both ex-slaves, sit in front of a group of Klansmen (including one dressed up as Santa Claus), while the group is reportedly given a radio to the couple.
