Please read the riddle again. Be carefull for the “tense”. Let’s look step by step.

• I had $13.00.
• My Mom gave $10.00.
• My Dad gave $30.00.
• My Aunt, My Uncle and grandma gave me $100.00.
• I had another $7.00.

Firstly I want to say the answer is not 160 dollars. Because, riddle is asking “how much did I have?”. So, before the mom, dad, aunt and uncle gave me dollars. Now, sum the all dollars I had.

• I had $13.00.
• I had another $7.00.

From this information from riddle, I had only 13 + 7 = 20 dollars
